The MEWA Arena, situated in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, is a multi-purpose stadium primarily used for football matches. It is the home ground of the German Bundesliga side Mainz 05. The stadium opened its doors in July 2011, boasting a capacity of around 34,034 spectators, with the option of standing room which increases its capacity to 33,305, including 13,805 standing spots. The MEWA Arena, known for its distinctive red and white aesthetic, replaced the Stadion am Bruchweg when it was inaugurated in 2011.
