B. S. Mubarak

Consul General of India in Frankfurt

A career diplomat, Mr. B. S. Mubarak joined the Indian
Foreign Service in 2001 and had served in Cairo, Dubai, and Jeddah. He headed India’s Diplomatic Mission in Palestine from 2012-14 and was Consul General of
India in Jeddah from 2014-16. He was Director and
later Joint Secretary in the Southern Division of the
Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi from April
2016 to November 2018. He was the Ambassador of India
to Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras from
December 2018 to December 2021. He has been Ambassador of India to the Republic of Sudan from January 23, 2022 to 31 August 2023. On 2nd October,
2023 Mr. Mubarak assumed the charge of Consul General of India in Frankfurt, Germany.

Mr. Mubarak hails from Kanyakumari District in Tamil Nadu. He holds a Master’s degree in Science from the Centre of Advanced Study in Marine Biology, Tamil Nadu, India. He takes a special interest in sustainable
development.

He is married to Mrs. Lathifa Mubarak and they have a daughter Manaal and a son Abdul Mannaan.
